☀️ Move Forward
Greetings!
We hope our Florida and North Carolina friends are doing okay after the recent hurricane and tropical storm activity. Our family is safe, and that’s what matters—water damage can be fixed 😃.
So, we were driving around the Appalachian State campus the other day, and our conversation drifted to our regrets about past decisions and how we wish we had had different experiences in college.
But, as we (hopefully) all know by now, regrets should be firmly secured in the past—close the 🚪 on things we can't control! Instead, we should embrace moving forward and creating new, rewarding experiences.
When I decided to get my Master's Degree at the University of Florida, part of me absolutely wanted to create a new experience and legacy for myself (my time spent at the University of Akron 40+ years ago 🍺🍻 was less than stellar, lol).
Shari expressed regrets about her past decisions, but after talking, I think she’s more excited than ever to move forward and learn new things. Do more of what you enjoy!
Remember—it’s unhealthy to live in the past, constantly saying, "I wish I had…" or "I should have…" —do something about it! Modify your goals to fit your lifestyle today, but go for it. We applaud you in advance! 👏👏
Embrace Your Best Life!

SIMPLI SHARI 🩷
In retirement, there’s often a desire to start fresh. My husband embraced this by returning to school for his master’s degree. While I’ve thought about pursuing a degree, it’s not what I truly want anymore.
Instead, I’d love to take fun classes—photography, social media, maybe marketing—something that sparks joy and creativity. Retirement doesn’t mean slowing down—it can be a launchpad for new adventures.
What would you learn if you had the chance?
Embrace your best life,
🩷 Shari
